CMTX Semiconductor Parts

CMTX, a South Korean manufacturer of silicon chamber parts for semiconductor etching processes, is aggressively pursuing a vertical integration strategy. By producing single-crystal silicon ingots in-house, the company has established a fully integrated production chain from raw materials to finished components.

Founded in 2013, CMTX initially focused on ceramic and sapphire parts before expanding into silicon components. Through its subsidiary Selic, the company directly produces single-crystal and polycrystalline silicon ingots, with an annual production capacity of 200 tons, covering the entire process chain of processing, cleaning, and inspection.

CMTX is a primary supplier to Samsung Electronics and the only Korean company officially registered as a primary supplier for TSMC, supplying components to 3nm-2nm advanced process mass production lines. The company also collaborates with Micron, Kioxia, and other global semiconductor manufacturers, maintaining a customer network spanning more than 20 advanced process nodes.

The company is commercializing next-generation new materials, including single-crystal SiC (silicon carbide), specialty silicon, and large-diameter silicon. CMTX is also building a second plant (M Campus) in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, which will expand production capacity to over five times the 2023 level.
